Atriplex hortensis
.Good-tasting cultivar with decorative, red leaves and a long harvesting period.
Melds were very common as a leafy vegetable in Europe before they were replaced by spinach. The leaves of the plants, which grow up to 1.5 m tall, can be harvested continuously and are best used as a salad addition.
